- Churches, Sights
The inside of the late Gothic hall architecture building was decorated in the Baroque style in the middle of the 18th century. It is Coburg’s oldest church and an authentic site where Martin Luther preached in 1530. A 13 metre tall alabaster epitaph of Duke John Frederick the Middle by Nikolaus Bergner (1598) is found in the choir. The Schuke organ (1989) was installed in the organ case (1740) restored according to the original dimensions. The chancel was remodelled as part of interior renovations in 2016.
